Vodka Sauce Dip

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Dash of olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 shot vodka
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste 
  • Black pepper, to taste 
  • Garlic powder, to taste 
  • Onion powder, to taste 
  • Parsley, to taste 
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese (plus more for topping)
  • Firehook Classic Sea Salt Crackers, for serving

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  1. First, add 3 tbsp butter & a dash of olive to a pan. Next, add 3 cloves minced garlic & cook until fragrant.
  2. Add in 4 tbsp of tomato paste and mix. Cook until slightly darkened then add 1 shot of vodka.
  3. Mix in 1 cup of heavy cream and whisk well. Bring your sauce to a simmer for 7-10 mins to cook off the alcohol. Then, add 1/2 cup Parm cheese & season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and parsley. Let your sauce cool down slightly.
  4. In a large bowl - add 8 oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup of ricotta, 3/4 cup of mozz and 1 tsp each of salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
  5. Mix well then add your vodka sauce. Stir it all together then add your dip to an oven safe dish & top with more mozz. Broil for 5-7 minutes until the top is slightly browned. 
  6. Serve with Firehook Crackers and enjoy!
